What's In My Inglot Bag?

My Inglot Picks

Hey Girls!! So last week I finally got a day off work and of course with Christmas just around the corner I decided to spend the day shopping.  Every year we head up to Drumdrum a few weeks before Christmas to get all of our Christmas shopping done. So off we went.

A lot of people say Dundrum can be a hit or miss but I found it so good this year!! I got all of my presents sorted and even got a bit of time to pick up a few bits for myself. One thing I really needed was new makeup as everything in my makeup bag always seems to waste at the one time!! Does this happen anyone else? Anyway here is what I picked up...

1. Foundation

I've been dying to try this foundation for a while now!! I usually wear Mac going out but decided to give Inglot a go to see what I think. This foundation is meant to give amazing coverage covering all blemishes and discoloration. The girl serving me also said that the coverage is very buildable so you could wear it during the day and night.

As soon as I try it out ill let you know what I think. I got a dark shade to wear out its shade 82.

2. Face and Body illuminator

For anyone that knows me I love a dewy makeup look, so highlight and illumination products are a huge favourite of mine. This little gem can be worn alone or mixed with your foundation to add a natural glow to your skin. It can also be applied to your body. I cannot wait to give this one a go.

I wear a face illuminator everyday under my foundation, I just love the fresh dewy look it gives your skin. I find them more natural than a cream based highlight for everyday makeup.

I got the 65 in the illuminator.

3. Pressed Powder and Case

I was delighted to see that Inglot's pressed powders are freedom now. This means the case can be reused, so to refill it you only need to buy the powder pan as seen on the left in my picture above. It works out much cheaper. I got this to contour my face and define my cheekbones.

I got this in the shade 45.

4. Brow Liner Gel & Eye Shadow Pan

I also picked up their new brow liner in a gel form (15) and 395 in the eye shadow pan. The girl that was serving me had a gorgeous highlight on so of course I just had to ask what it was. She was actually after using this eye shadow shade!! It had a lovely shine and shimmer I just had to get it!! For any of you getting the new inglot palette for Christmas this is one of the shades included in it.

5. Lipstick and Lip Liner

You probably all know well from me posting lipstick colours to my Facebook page, that I am a nude lipstick lover!! Majority of my lippys are nude shades. So I couldn't leave without getting another nude lipstick to add to my collection!! I decided to pick up a nice lip liner to match.

The lipstick is shade 403 and the lip liner is 63.

So that's my new face!! I cant wait to try them out over Christmas and let you know what I think. From what I've heard and read I know im going to love them all.

Festival Style

Braids, Prints, Henna Tattoo's, Accessories, Footwear & Outfits

As the festival season is in full swing and electric picnic is on it's way!! I decided to do up this post to help you girls get some ideas as to what to wear, and how to accessories.

For any of you that are lucky enough to have tickets for electric picnic this year, first of all I am so jealous!! Secondly I hope this posts helps you with your outfit ideas.

I am obsessed with the festival style!! & each year it just gets better and better. So here is a few trendy bits I would pick up/do if I was attending this year.

1.  Hair Styles

Braids, Plaits, Waves, Curls & Top Knots whatever suits you best go for it, because all of these hair styles would be perfect for the festival season! Messy hairstyles rather than anything set looking.

2. Hats and Head Pieces

Grab a few headpieces to bring along! Flowery head pieces, Snapbacks, Fedora Hats and Head Jewellery seem to be bang on trend, so whatever suits your style or matches your outfit the most go for it, these can really make the difference to your festival look!

3. Henna & Stick on Tats

Could you get any more festively? I think this is a great little idea!! Go on, get some henna done with your friends for the weekend occasion or buy yourselves some stick on tats from Pennys, New Look or Sam McCauleys.

4. Over Accessorise!! The More The Better..

Put on as much feathers, rings, bracelets & watches as you like! Layering jewellery for a festival is perfectly fine! So root through that old jewellery box and find yourself some pieces to match your look.

5. Bags

You don't want a massive bag that you cant bring around with you or have to mind for the whole thing. Bring a small backpack, side bag or bum bag that you can keep on you at all times with your few bits in it.

6. Footwear - Boots, Sandals, Runners or Wellies

Wear something comfortable on your feet, something you don't mind getting destroyed and something you wont mind throwing out afterwards!! Dont spend a fortune on footwear, go find some old sandals or boots and decorate them yourself! Wellies can be ugly but above the picture shows what a bit of DIY can do to make them look perfect for the occasion.

7. Outfit Ideas

Wear whatever you want girls!! Everyone's style is going to be different, Above I just have some style inspiration to help you decide.

Oversized Dresses & T-Shirts, Crop Tops, Shorts, Long Skirts, Dungarees, Kimonos, Lace, Tassels, Gladiator, Layering etc. Dont forget your sunnies ladies, grab yourself a pair of sunglasses and your set to go!!

I will be posting pictures of Festival Outfits to It's a "Clo Thing" over the next week, as were coming up to the event. Keep an eye out for some inspiration.

Also a Quick Tip Before I Go..

If the forecast is giving rain!! Buy yourself a see-through poncho coat/jacket! You know the ones you see at the concerts. That way your outfit will still be seen while your staying dry ;)

Hope this helps girls!! Enjoy Electric Picnic you lot, I'm so jealous!!

Fitness, Getting Started.

Getting Started, GYM, Motivation, Goals, Fitness, Strength & Health

I'll start Monday!! Is anyone else familiar with this saying, and then that Monday never seems to happen? It can be difficult finding the motivation to get started when it comes to fitness and joining a gym, So ill give you a few tips that seem to work for me.

1. Find a gym buddy!!

Going to the gym with a friend can help motivate you. Once you both get a routine going it will become a ritual, you can catch up on all the gossip while warming up together instead of over that coffee and treat ;). Days your not really feeling up for it, or you're just too lazy to get up and go, that text from you friend saying "hey coming gym this evening?" Or "up for a gym session" makes you feel a little bit bad and sometimes actually changes your mind!
So find yourself that gym buddy and get your asses to the gym!!

2. Treat yourself to some nice gym gear!!

Buying a few new bits for the gym can help motivate you to start also!! I know it works for me anyway, but hey any excuse to shop eh?! Grab yourself a comfortable pair of runners and a few nice gym bits from Pennys, the gym section they have is amazing and very affordable too! Id also recommend trying on your gear before you buy them just to make sure you feel comfortable in them, nothing worse than going to the gym and not feeling 100% in what your wearing.

3.Set yourself a goal

Everyone's goals and targets are going to be different, but no matter how big or small your goal may be make sure you set one. Find a picture online of what you want to work towards, write down what you want to achieve, and make it happen!! Bring this in with you to your instructor and tell him/her what you want, they will help you achieve it and set you a program to suit your strength and ability. You will get there!!

4. Find yourself a gym you feel comfortable in

This is extremely important!! Find a gym you feel comfortable in, that way you wont find yourself thinking of reasons not to go. I have joined a few gyms in the past and in some of them I just didn't feel comfortable doing my work out. It was nothing to do with the gym itself, staff, or the equipment, I just prefer a gym that is a bit quieter and has more space. So try out a few in your area and see what you make of them before you pay your membership, some offer a free trail which is great!

This way you will be able to give 110% each time and get a good work out done!

So there is a few little tips that helped me get up and going!! I always dreaded the thoughts of joining a gym or going in, but its only natural as everyone does! The main thing to remember is that everyone is a different shape and size, they are there to achieve their own goals, and keep fit & healthy.

A Bit About My Fitness

As you probably already know from my Facebook page, I am finally finished my college degree. So since I moved back home I can finally get started in a gym for longer than 3 months.

I am now a member of the Nolan Health and Fitness gym in Enniscorthy. I started here the start of this summer and it is by far the best gym I have ever joined, the gym is amazing!! They run bye bye belly programs, outdoor bootcamps, spin classes, personal training sessions, and much more!!

The equipment is top quality and they have such a variety. The staff are so friendly, they really care for their members and are extremely helpful. The atmosphere in the gym is always great which I love. For any of my local readers I would honestly recommend this gym!! I have the link above so head over to their Facebook and have a look for yourself. (Nolan Health and Fitness

Its so important to keep hydrated!!

Since joining the gym I can already notice the difference. I am in it almost a month and a half now and I just love it.  I had my two week trip to New York a few weeks ago so I'm only getting back into it now. Before I jetted off  I had a really good routine going, I was in the gym 4-5 times a week, my personal program was going great and it was keeping me in shape. I could notice myself toning fast and was getting the results I wanted.

I cant wait to get this routine going again after my trip and keeping it up!! I try my best to get into the gym at least three times a week.

As for my diet!! To be honest I'm not on any sort of strict diet plan, I eat little and often and eat what I want or fancy at that time. Like everyone I love my chocolate, sweets and take aways!! But saying that I'm not a bad eater, I do have everything in moderation. Sometimes it depends if a night out was had, as my "hangover cure" could go on for days!! haha.

My goal in the gym is to keep fit and healthy!! Once im getting my few sessions in a week im happy. I dont want lose any weight! I just want to tone, work my stomach and get myself a nice bum!! As I said above everyone has different things they want to achieve so why not get started!

I hope this helped some of you get motivated!! If you have any questions or want to ask me anything feel free to mail my blog. I will be posting more to It's a "Clo Thing" about fitness, keeping you all updated, Let me know what you would like to see!!

Spring/Summer Fashion Trends

Crop, Short, Pastel, Oversized, High Wasted, Suede & Sandals

So the Spring/Summer season is among us!! Who else loves this time of the year? The trends are in and the style is just fab!! I've decided to do a little blog post to help you fashion lovers pick up a few must haves for this time of the year, So lets get to it...

Trousers

Lets start with the fabulous trousers that are going to be everywhere this spring/summer! The gorgeous Culottes! These trousers can be styled in so many different ways, worn casual or dressy. I bought myself a black pair in New Look recently for my trip in June.

Next item is something similar, its the stunning Palazzo Pants!! This is a trend to watch ladies coming in all different colours and prints. The high wasted style has me sold, I cant wait to get my hands on a pair!

The next trousers option you could add to your list is a pair of cigarette or tailored trousers. The light material is perfect for this time of the year, and matching with a nice crop top or white crisp shirt really brings the look together, (as seen below)

Denim

Of course when it comes to bottoms we cant forgot Jeans!! Every girl should have a pair in their wardrobe. For this spring/summer grab yourself a fab pair with the slits. You could even do abit of DIY and cut up an old pair. It actually works, there is tutorials on youtube to show you exactly what to do! Have that scissors at the ready..

You could also opt for different colours aswell as the denim. The white and black can be styled in so many ways and are very reliable for casual wear, a night out, or even a dinner date!

White:

Black:

Item number five, Denim Shorts!! Every girl needs a nice pair of shorts for them summer months, I personally prefer the high wasted instead of the ones that just sit on the hip.

Tops

When the weather is warm we want to wear something comfortable, not too clingy, yet still fashionable, Well the next item is a Slogan t-shirt!! Pick up a few t-shirts with your favorite quote/image, you could even go oversized with these and still look stylish.

A white crop top is another essential item to add to that wardrobe girls!! Below I have pictures of dressy/classy options and then casual option for everyday wear.

This next item may be a hit or miss with some of you, as it is a material you will either love or hate!! I personally love it, so decided I would add it in. The material is Suede!! This material is mostly seen on jackets/tops and I absolutely love it.. if your a fan go for it!! (Below I posted pictures of both a spring & summer look for some inspiration).

And of course when it comes to a trendy top we cant forget the plain White Shirt! Perfect over any of the bottoms above, & nice and comfortable!

Jackets

When it comes to jackets in spring/summer a trendy must have is a Sleeveless Blazer!! This jacket is stunning and gives that classy look to your outfit. For the colder evenings in spring a long sleeve short polo neck would be fab!!

And of course an Oversized Jumper to throw on over your outfit for them chilly evenings!

Footwear

The next must have is these Slider Sandals!! Yes there back!! Its true when they say fashion goes in circles eh.. who else remembers these from when they were younger? Well they are back in fashion now and I think they are fab. Im definitely buying a pair for my trip in June.

You can buy these in most fashion stores/online sites. Pennys, New Look & Missguided stock a cute selection for a very reasonable price!!

For going out I would still opt for the stunning Court Heels!! They do no wrong and look so elegant.

Accessories

Make sure to pick up a Hat for this spring/summer ladies!! It can make the simplest outfit look so stylish!!

And there you go, some gorgeous items that will ensure you your spring/summer wardrobe is on trend!
Of course oversized bags and light scarfs are essentails, but they go without saying eh :)

I hope you found this helpful and have lots of ideas and items you want to purchase after having a read. Remember to be confident, and wear what you feel most comfortable in!!

Happy Shopping,
